The world's first acid pickling galvanized aluminum-magnesium unit was successfully hot-tested at Hebei Taihang Iron and Steel.

Recently, the globally pioneering acid pickling galvanized aluminum-magnesium unit, contracted by MCC Southern, at Hebei Taihang Iron and Steel Group has successfully undergone a hot test, achieving qualification from the first coil and smooth production, filling several technological gaps internationally and domestically.

The acid pickling-galvanizing combined unit directly processes hot-rolled plates through acid pickling, heating, galvanizing/zinc-aluminum-magnesium coating, post-treatment, oil coating, and coiling, producing coated products. This unit integrates the acid pickling and galvanizing processes, boasting advantages such as high production efficiency and low cost. It is considered a green and efficient processing technology for hot-rolled thin strips.

As the first domestically produced acid pickling combined unit, the entire unit's electromechanical and hydraulic equipment, as well as the automation control system, were independently integrated and designed by MCC Southern, possessing intellectual property rights. Key equipment, such as welders, acid pickling sections, leveling machines, heating and reduction furnaces, straightening machines, roller coating machines, and frequency converters (E-Convert), were all independently developed by MCC Southern.

Simultaneously, the unit is equipped with multiple process models, all independently developed by MCC Southern, reinforcing the intelligent foundation of the unit. The overall process surpasses similar units domestically and internationally.
